Working Thesis Title: Effects of Interaction with a Dog on the Brain and Non-Brain Activity using Mobile Brain/Body Imaging (MOBI)
This thesis aims to investigate psychophysiological changes during human-dog interaction using the Mobile Brain Imaging (MoBI) technique in a naturalistic environment. Moving from a traditional laboratory setup to a more naturalistic setting will provide a more accurate assessment of the effects of human-dog interactions as they occur in everyday life.
This study hypothesizes that psychophysiological changes will occur in the experimental condition compared to the control condition. Specifically, we anticipate changes in the amplitude of blink ERP components, alterations in brainwave patterns, variations in the dominance and coverage of microstates, as well as changes in the Profile of Mood States (POMS) during the interaction with dogs.
