The Evaluation & Student Insights (ESI) team is part of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) portfolio, bringing together Institutional Research, and Student Evaluation of Teaching. Our team works across the UC community to enable and support data gathering and quality academic outcomes for staff and students.
The ESI team informs the wider community using student experience research and data, allowing easy access to information through our聽. The聽Student Evaluation of Teaching聽system聽is also managed by the ESI team, to assist staff in the evaluation and monitoring of their teaching as well as the monitoring of course quality.聽
The institutional research expertise within the ESI team ensures we can provide student experience-related information, generated from the suite of student lifecycle research surveys (staff only), as well as bespoke reports to meet specific stakeholder needs. ESI also provides聽support for staff and students聽wishing to engage in survey research using聽Qualtrics聽software. We are also a group of experienced facilitators, who can assist in focus group development and delivery to enhance quantitative data findings.
