Derek Lardelli was born in 1961, and is affiliated to Ng膩ti Porou, Rongowhakaata, Ng膩ti Kanohi (Ngai Te Riwai), and Ng膩ti Kaipoho (Ngai Te Aweawe). Although he works in a variety of media, Lardelli is regarded as one of New Zealand鈥檚 finest t膩 moko or body art artists. He has participated in numerous exhibitions and workshops in New 茄子视频app官网and overseas, and in 2006 completed a Masters in Fine Arts at Canterbury University School of Fine Arts. Lardellli is currently principal tutor at Toihoukura School of M膩ori Visual Arts at Tairawhiti Polytechnic in Gisborne.
