What is Indigenous research?
Indigenous research is typically conducted by and/or with Indigenous peoples and communities. It encompasses methodologies and approaches that are respectful of Indigenous cultures, knowledges, and values, prioritising Indigenous voices and perspectives in all stages of the research process, including defining questions, selecting methodologies, interpreting outcomes, and disseminating findings.听

About the cluster
UC Business School Cluster on Indigenous Research is dedicated to enhancing the School鈥檚 reputation for Indigenous research while respecting the authority and status of mana whenua. We aim to complement the School's existing identity by focusing on Indigenous perspectives within the business realm.
Comprising members from diverse academic backgrounds and career stages, our cluster endeavours to foster a bi-directional support system. We provide research assistant opportunities, nurturing aspiring researchers and building a talent pipeline for the UC Business School. Additionally, we offer mentoring and collaborative publishing opportunities for students interested in furthering their careers in academia.
Our goal is to create a vibrant community that promotes Indigenous research within the UC Business School while supporting the growth and development of our members.
The aims of our cluster are as follows:
i. To preserve domains of prevailing research excellence within the collective membership.
ii. To advance the Indigenous research initiatives facilitated by the UC Business School.
iii. To assist cluster members to secure external grant funding.
iiii. To cultivate pathways for undergraduate and master鈥檚 students to advance into further postgraduate studies through research assistant positions and funded PhD opportunities.
