The听Boost Your City Challenge听is听your chance听develop ideas to engage young people with the downtown core of听艑tautahi听Christchurch.听ChristchurchNZ听is looking for innovative solutions听that听they can听actually听implement听- this is your chance to have a real impact! No听specific听experience is听required听to take part听and you do not need to听already听have an idea.
Over the course of a听week听you will work with a team to听come up with听and develop an idea with the support of mentors and input from both听ChristchurchNZ听and PWC. The challenge is听a great way听to build both your CV and your professional networks.
On the final day of the Challenge, your team will pitch your concept to a panel of judges听from听ChristchurchNZ听and PWC. The听top听teams will take home听a share of $3000 in cash prizes!听

This Challenge is designed for UC students of any discipline and any level (from听first-year听to post-grad).听

Do I need a team in advance?
You can register as an individual, pair or group. This challenge is open to any UC student 鈥 any level and any听programme听of study.听听We will听organise听the听teams.听

Who is running the Challenge?听
The UC Centre for Entrepreneurship,听ChristchurchNZ,听and PWC听are working in partnership to deliver the听Boost Your City Challenge.

- Registrations closed: Wednesday, 26th April 2023听
- Challenge Launch:听Thursday 27th April 2023 3.00pm - 5.00pm in the city at PWC (Departing UC 2.30pm)
- Challenge Speed Mentoring: Friday 28th April 2023听 11.30am -12.30pm at UCE听
- Challenge Showcase and Awards: Tuesday 2nd May 2023 4.00pm - 7.00pm at PWC
